Original sumi ink painting of a panda titled: “A Mother’s Love”
Our sumi-e panda art is hand painted on a lovely scroll available in many different colors of silk edging. The love of a mother for her child inspired this cute panda painting. The mother panda is willing to do anything for her child and gently carries him through the bamboo forest, ensuring that he is well protected and safe as he starts his journey into the wide world. Baby panda looks wide eyed and curious as he is introduced to new sights and smells.
A famous Chinese idiom saying “Chun Cao Chun Hui” is written in Chinese brush calligraphy on the painting. While the literal meaning is “a blade of grass can never repay the spring sunshine,” it is understood to mean “a child can never repay a parent’s love.”
It makes for a lovely and cute Mother’s Day gift to show appreciation to your own mother. Or it can bring a touch of Asian beauty and wonder to your home.
Note that this painting is not a print. Sumi-ink watercolor painting style is difficult to master. It requires speed and precision as the rice paper quickly absorbs the water in the ink and strokes once made are permanent. The tip of the brush must be steady and delicate to achieve the perfect result. Luo Wan Er loves helping the images in her mind come to life on the paper. And we are sure you too will appreciate her fine work.
Each scroll is completely hand made and the colored edging features ornate silk and oriental patterns.
Size: 15 X 30 Inches (38 X 76 CM).
You can see the sample image above to choose your favorite silk edging color, which is available in 8 colors. After ordering, Luo Wan Er will paint “A Mother’s Love” as in the sample image for your custom and hand painted scroll.
